The purpose of the Grive2 project is to provide an independent open source implementation of Google Drive client for GNU/Linux. It uses Google Drive REST API to talk to Google Drive service. The code is written in standard C++.
Grive2 is the fork of the original abandoned «Grive» (https://github.com/Grive/grive) with added support for the new Drive REST API (original version was using the «Document List API» which is now shut down) and some new features, for example, partial sync.
The source code of Grive2 is released under GPLv2.

The Linux desktop is full of interesting features. In fact, users are often surprised at just how many handy tools the various iterations of the open source desktop there are. One such tool is the Calendar. Although most users are content with working straight out of Google Calendar, or Thunderbird’s Lightning (or any other calendaring tool), what happens when you don’t want to mess with opening a web page or email client to get to your calendar? Lucky for you, plenty of options are available in panels and system trays—all ready to make accessing your calendars a cinch.

gcalcli is a Python application that allows you to access your Google Calendar(s) from a command line. It's easy to get your agenda, search for events, add new events, delete events, edit events, and even import those annoying ICS/vCal invites from Microsoft Exchange and/or other sources. Additionally, gcalcli can be used as a reminder service and execute any application you want when an event is coming up.
gcalcli uses the Google Calendar API version 3.
